Archie has just come back to the office after his summer holiday. He was near to St Davids, South Wales and massively enjoyed the sunny weather on the beach. In fact he had such a good time he was depressed for an entire week when he came home – or was that a ploy to get lots of Wagg’mmms?
However our Archie is definitely a creature of habit though as this was a picture of him on holiday last year …
Or is Archie’s’ dad pulling typists leg?
On Saturday Archie completed a 12 mile sponsored walk for the East Cheshire Hospice in Macclesfield. Starting at the Cat & Fiddle pub in the Peak District (a good excuse his dad thought for a quick drink – rude not too I think was his official wording!) which at 1690 ft is the second highest pub in England, and finishing at the East Cheshire Hospice in Macclesfield.
Archie and his dad took just over five hours to complete (this could have been done much quicker but his dad would not be persuaded, despite some brilliant encouragement from Archie – have you ever seen a dog pull a grown man down a road?? BOL!) Although Archie did not mind his short lunch break for some Wagg dog food.
East Cheshire hospice cares for adults with incurable dieses and with only 20% of the running costs being funded by government, requires an additional £6,000 of fundraising for every day of the year! Archie raised a decent £250 – way to go pal!
Although he was rather tired on Saturday night – in fact I think he and his dad had a snoring competition!
On Sunday as a well done for all his fundraising efforts Archie was taken to play on the beach.
Wish I could have gone!
